Energy Efficient
Here at Alpina, we firmly believe that the Falò is the most effective outdoor heater in the world. For the same amount of gas as the best mushroom heaters on the market, the Falò provides heat to a greater area, more effectively. In fact, where the Falò heats an area of 25m2, a regular mushroom heater is rated to cover an area of just 9m2.
With the cost of gas increasing in recent years, it's becoming increasingly expensive to operate gas heaters. This is why businesses need powerful, but energy efficient models.
Meeting this demand, the Falò benefits from a visible flame which allows the operator to see how much gas is being consumed, and adjust it accordingly. A high flame means higher gas consumption, and if an area is quiet or without customers completely, the operator can simply turn down the gas consumption to a "maintenance" flame, which is still effective, yet a lot more cost-efficient.
Furthermore, the Falò sports a specialized glass cover, which protects the flame from blowing out in the wind. However, it also serves to retain heat which means that once the glass is heated, you can reduce the heat settings on the Falò and benefit from the stored heat in the glass, thus minimizing gas consumption.
And unlike traditional mushroom heaters, it's possible to have the Falò working at full heat (approximate consumption of 800g/hour) and still sit next to it. This is because it heats up the area around it evenly, so it's neither too hot near the heater, nor too cold far away from it.
All of these factors make the Falo a far better option than traditional mushroom style heaters.
Safe ‘n' Sound
The Falò Pyramid Outdoor Heater is the safest on the market, and has passed the most stringent testing in Europe, the USA, Australia and Africa. All of our heaters have been (and always will be) individually tested, gas certified and CE-approved.
Despite its height, the Falò is also incredibly stable. The heater, together with a full 10.5kg gas bottle, weighs over 40kg. And since the widest part is at the bottom, the heater has a low centre of gravity. As a result, it won't topple over as easily as a mushroom heater. In the event that the Falò is knocked over accidentally, it has an inbuilt safety "tip-over" switch that will disconnect the unit from the gas supply.
Similarly, the Falò has "flame failure" protection as standard. This means that if the gas flame is blown out or extinguished, the gas supply will be automatically disconnected.
Furthermore, you needn't worry about your little ones getting burned by the flames. The glass in which the flame dances is protected by a special alloy grid which does not heat up, so it can be touched without any danger. Perfect when children are present.
